"Empowering Women and Youth in the Fight Against AIDS in Africa"

On June 5, 2006, Pangea sponsored an event to introduce others to its work, learn how women and youth are participating in the fight against AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa, and discuss how U.S. donors can help fight this terrible disease.  We were honored to have two outstanding speakers who gave us a first-hand account of grassroots efforts that are underway in Kenya and South Africa, efforts that are making a difference and that are being supported by the international community.  Below are a few pictures from the event, and links to both speakers' biographies and a summary of their talks.
