HOW TO JOIN PANGEA

About Pangea

Pangea (formerly known as World Venture Partners) is an association of individuals dedicated to increasing the philanthropic resources flowing to international projects that help people in economically disadvantaged countries lead healthy, productive lives. Pangea was founded in early 2003, and awarded its first grants in December 2003. In addition to supporting worthy projects with grants, Pangea provides an educational program to inform its members and others about global problems and about the process of effective grant making. Pangea-sponsored trips provide additional insight into the problems being studied while allowing us to make personal contact with the people we are helping and to monitor the projects we have chosen to fund.

Our vision of the future is a world where citizens from the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere:

  • Directly invest their time and money to learn about international development and environmental issues,
  • Learn to understand how their individual and societal actions may contribute to or alleviate these problems,
  • Leverage their resources through cooperative action with like-minded individuals and existing organizations, and
  • Develop new organizations and methods of responding to the problems they find.
