Inspiring and increasing international engagement and philanthropy

How to be part of Pangea's work

Membership:
People become members of Pangea by contributing $1000 or $2500 to the grant pool annually, and an additional 10% of their contribution to the administrative fund.  Couples can join either as a couple or as separate individuals.  Your level of contribution is voluntary, depending on the level of resources you are able to commit.  All members have equal opportunity to participate in all of Pangea’s work and decisions. Both membership and administrative fees are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Sponsorship: We invite businesses and organizations to sponsor one or more of their members to participate in Pangea by donating the membership fee for that person. Alternatively, an organization might want to sponsor an international student or other member of our community to gain the experience of international philanthropy, as well as share their diverse perspective. Since Pangea is a learning community that engages its members directly in the issues of international development, sponsorship is a wonderful way to develop a person’s capacity for global citizenship.

Donations:  We accept donations of any size to our grant pool.  More than 95%  of these donations will go directly to grant recipients.

Grants: Pangea also seeks grants to help fulfill its mission of increasing engagement of  US donors in international philanthropy.  These grants can be designated for outreach to new members, education on international issues and philanthropic practices, to augment the grant pool or sponsor a particular project.

To join Pangea, please download and complete the Pangea Membership Form.  To find out more about Pangea, send mail to info@pangeagiving.org and one of the Pangea Board members will call you.  Pangea meetings are open to interested parties.
